District nursing teams in the Airedale and Wharfedale communities are looking for passionate and committed staff nurses to join our innovative service. We currently have posts available in the Ilkley, Keighley and Silsden teams. Whether you’re a newly qualified, or an experienced staff nurse, we’ll support your personal and professional development, including our preceptorship programme that is tailored to meet your needs and the new starter program that gives all nurses working in the community a robust induction based on the clinical skills and knowledge required e.g. palliative and wound care. The Trust will also actively support your continued professional development to further develop your nursing skills and associated career development. We pride ourselves in our workforce strategy that supports nursing apprenticeships, a senior staff nurse program, the development of community specialist practitioners (district nurses) and advanced clinical practitioners who upon qualification work as community matrons. As a community nurse, you will be working as part of a team to provide high quality care for people in their own homes, ranging from long term conditions, to complex and palliative care. You will do this with the support of agile technology, and specialist services.
