Overview
Our client are looking to add a new hire to their Compliance team to support the UK office reporting to the Chief Legal & Compliance Officer based in in the UAE. In this role, you would be the only person in the London office supporting the Legal & Compliance team and therefore your remit would be very broad. Client Details Our client is a specialised investment manager who invest in emerging/frontier markets. Description Horizon scanning; keeping abreast of the regulatory landscape Compliance Monitoring Oversight of personal trading and restricted list / watch list Oversight of gifts and entertainment Undertaking Compliance reports Drafting contracts and NDAs Taking down minutes of meetings Other general compliance and legal related work Profile Compliance experience within Financial Services, preferably in the space of Investment Management/Hedge Fund/Private Equity, etc. Experience of UK and European regulations It is not necessary to be qualified lawyer but have a legal academic background i.e. LLB, LLM, GDL, LPC, etc. Job Offer Competitive package.
