Overview
We specialise in the design, development and manufacture of complex medical devices for the world's leading pharmaceutical companies at low, medium and high-volume manufacturing scales. We are focused on continual product innovation for drug delivery devices production and have been dedicated to world-class design, industrialisation and reliable high-volume supply for over 50 years. Due to exciting new projects and business growth, we are looking to recruit a Senior Development Engineer to support early stage development programmes. You will get the opportunity to lead the design on a number of product ranges, including; inhalation, nasal, injectables and vapour soft technology. You will work alongside commercial and development teams in an environment that provides all the tools and facilities to work up and evaluate early designs/ concepts, through analytical modelling and rapid prototyping. Therefore you will need to be familiar with robust design tools (e.g. statistical modelling, FEA) and design for manufacture techniques (six sigma confidence and reliability assessment tools). This is a great opportunity for someone who is looking to manage and own the full product technology roadmap, directly addressing and influencing future needs with experience of designing precision components, ideally plastic injection moulded. Key Experience and Skills Professional qualification in Mechanical Engineering or Product Design. Advanced skills analytical modelling, CFD and FEA. Experience in an engineering role (ideally design and development of products/assembly, manufactured in high-volume and include injection moulded parts. Project Management experience within programmes and problem-solving techniques.
