Overview
My client is looking for a technical cyber security lead. You must come from a technical background and have a strong understanding of how a SOC operates with good SIEM knowledge. (This is not a SOC role) You will be experienced with service operations, security incident management and will have experience working with one or more SIEM solutions. Detailed understanding of current Cyber threats; Detailed understanding of current Cyber defences; Understanding of Firewalls, in particular Cisco; Experience in managing and securing Cloud platforms; Comfortable working with Microsoft Systems including Windows Server, AD & Exchange; Understanding of network infrastructure; Familiarity with data centres and communications rooms; Experience managing cyber incidents; Experience working with IPS/IDS; You will need a comprehensive understanding of cyber security, from monitoring the evolving threat landscapes through to setting cyber security agenda and developing the solutions and products that underpin it. You will be responsible for championing cyber security and driving best practice. This will require engagement with the teams to ensure everyone understands cyber security to a degree and what best practice should look like Leading a fast growing cyber security team; Taking on the role of most senior technical cyber security professional and general subject matter expert; Developing cyber security service strategy and capabilities; Providing input to management of security across and our customers; Leading the security operation function, oversight of all ‘cyber’ incidents, and provide guidance on incident management and investigation; Ensuring all security products and SIEM are operating effectively and reliably; Overseeing vulnerabilities and ensuring remediation occurs with the various system owners; Providing information into clients and client relationship managers around security media coverage or in response to events and incidents; Supporting account managers in identifying and responding to cyber security related opportunities; This job was originally posted as www.totaljobs.com/job/89610676
