Overview
Junior Radio Telecommunications Engineer Duties will include: Attend customer sites to carry out surveys, ascertaining what equipment fits with their requirements Attend customer sites to perform installations, including crane and vehicle installations and de-installations in any building and location required Ensure all installations are completed on time and to a high standard Reprogram radios at customer sites as required, liaising with customers as and when required to help diagnose any problems Complete all paperwork in the required time, e.g. job sheets Ensure you have all equipment and tools required for your days' work, attending site on time, liaising with purchasing to order stock accordingly when needed Maintain own knowledge and skills relevant to your role and the industry by attending suitable courses Put customers and people at the heart of all activity ensuring the customers are treated as people and people as customers at all times Maintain responsibility for own Health and Safety at all times, adhering to all company policies Report all accidents, injuries and near misses to the office immediately Maintain professional working relationships with colleagues Skills and experience: Organised with an exceptional attention to detail Knowledge of Microsoft packages Excellent communication skills Confident working from heights Customer care knowledge (desirable) Requirements and prospects Desired skills ICT proficiency including all major Microsoft applications Competent to use hand tools Strong communication and motivational skills Exceptional team player with the ability to work on own initiative Personal qualities Positive and flexible 'can do' attitude Ability to remain calm under pressure Desired qualifications 5 GCSE's at grades C/4 or above (including maths and English). Future prospects Our client will provide full training for the successful applicant, and once the apprenticeship is complete, the role will become a permanent position. Things to consider The office is based in a location where there is very limited public transport, so the ideal candidate would need to have thought about how they would get to work.
