Overview
Junior Sustainability Consultant (Building Services) A well established and well known MEP design consultancy based in North London are looking for a Junior sustainability consultant to join their team that is growing year on year due to the continuous growth in the pipeline of work. They are at a headcount of 70 and are looking to open a Central London office in 6 months time. They specialise in the residential, commercial and luxury hotel sectors and work both in the UK and overseas. Role description: - Thermal modelling analysis for non-domestic buildings with IES software - Supporting planning applications through energy/sustainability statements, overheating and daylight/sunlight assessments - Completion of BREEAM assessments from pre-assessment to post construction - Completion of SAP calculations for residential developments - Completion of code for sustainable homes assessments from pre-assessment to post construction - Liaising directly with clients, architects and contractors to ensure we meet client needs and to ensure that projects are delivered on programme Accountabilities - To be able to work successfully within a team and ensure effective delivery of projects and tasks to meet project deadlines - A passion for sustainability in the built environment - Excellent technical report writing skills - Excellent communication skills - Excellent attention to detail - Ability to manage varying deadlines and project workload Required Qualifications & Experience - BSc / BEng in a relevant discipline - Experience in IES software for SBEM and dynamic simulation modelling (DSM) calculations - Experience in overheating assessments - Experience in completion of SAP calculations - Experience in use of NHER or Elmhurst software (desirable, but not essential) - Experience in conduction BREEAM and Code for Sustainable Homes Assessments (desirable, but not essential) - Experience on daylight / sunlight assessments (desirable, but not essential) - Experience on energy strategy reports (desirable, but not essential If you could be interested in this opportunity please contact your expert recruitment consultant - Jake Troubridge on or email - Eden Brown is committed to equality in the workplace and is an equal opportunity employer.
