Overview
Liric Accountants, a forward-thinking accountancy firm, has an exciting opportunity for a talented Accounts Assistant to join our small but growing team based near Royston (on the borders of South Cambs and North Hertfordshire). We have embraced modern methods of working with clients, putting them at the heart of everything we do, preparing them for making tax digital and providing them with flexible, mobile ways of running their businesses. We are looking for an AAT part or fully qualified and can offer further training towards professional qualifications and development. About the role: Preparing monthly and quarterly management accounts and VAT returns - mainly using Xero Preparing annual accounts for a range of sole traders, partnerships and Limited Companies Preparation of business and personal tax computations and statutory returns Supporting clients with their day to day queries in Xero Helping support and train clients as they adopt new software as they transition from manual systems You will develop your own client portfolio and maintain regular communications with them, developing a strong relationship Requirements: 1-2 years’ experience working in accountancy practice preparing accounts and tax returns Experience with Xero and year end accounts production systems Ability to work using own initiative Client focussed and great client communicator Conscientious and willingness to learn and develop You must be within a 30-minute commute from the SG8 area.
