Overview
Infrastructure Cloud Strategist My global financial client are looking for a Cloud Strategist to provide direction and adoption of cloud technology across their global organisation. This function / role is will drive strategic approaches to; best cloud practices, driving appropriate technology decisions, adoption patterns, building pipeline of requirements, taking our product to our business clients, ensuring offerings are relevant and tracking the technology landscap The Candidate will also participate in defining engineering requirements (working with the CloudOps group) to ensure we are offering relevant, cost effective and innovative cloud solutions for our customers Ability to work in a MVP (Minimum Viable Product) model is key - as we want to evolve and deliver capabilities in accelerated time frames in an iterative approach Responsibility Work within Infrastructure Strategy & Architecture to understand key drivers & requirements to drive our cloud strategy - working globally and cross business Work with business functions to understand their requirements for their technology services and build cloud aligned approaches Build strategies and provide infrastructure architecture consultancy in the cloud space Work with Product Engineering & Product Support on delivering technology services and solutions that align to business requirements Understand business challenges and address these with cloud aligned strategies & approaches Propose and engage engineering & product support teams on 'Proof of Concepts' for technology services where business requirements / gaps are identified utilising cloud tech Maintain Industry knowledge and track Vendor roadmaps - develop thought leadership within Form strong working relationships with Business Solutions Architects and the Enterprise Architecture group to ensure alignment of strategies. This will involve articulating TIS strategy to the broader technology group and likewise facilitating communication of Business strategy and development goals Your skills and experience Experience / breadth of cross-domain technology areas Deep understanding of Microsoft end-user technologies Ability to navigate a global organisation and form views of requirements (where they may not readily exist) Ability to build strategies and roadmaps with globally based stakeholders Broad range of technology infrastructure experience General working knowledge of some of the following with depth of expertise in a few App Hosting Services Networks End-User Tech Mobile end-user technologies Comms, voice and video technologies Trade desk technologies Cloud Tech IaaS / SaaS / PaaS Experience working in a highly regulated financial environment is preferred, with exposure to ISO27001 industry standards.
