QUALITY GOVERNANCE FACILITATOR Reporting to the Divisional Head of Quality Governance, the post will work as part of the integrated divisional governance team supporting delivery of all aspects of integrated quality governance in the domains of Safety, Clinical Effectiveness, Quality Assurance, and Patient & Carer Experience. To work with Head of Quality Governance in conjunction with the Corporate Quality & Safety teams to develop and deliver a trust wide approach to quality governance and ensure that relevant divisional and Trustwide committees and groups are kept abreast of quality governance issues. To lead the Quality Governance team members in embedding clinical governance processes and procedures in the Division Location : Uxbridge Temporary : Expected to last 3 months with possible extension Hours per week : 37.5 hours per week Salary: £26 (Umbrella) or £22 per hour (PAYE) PRINCIPLE DUTIES (i.e. Key responsibilities) To facilitate and support the implementation and maintenance of the overall Quality Governance Strategy and framework, proactively working with services to facilitate the delivery of the Quality Governance agenda and embed learning, evidence based practice and improvement in care To provide professional expert advice and leadership on quality governance issues to all healthcare professionals, promoting high standards of care and development of clinical practice. To collate and provide information and regular reports to relevant managers and committees as requested. To facilitate compliance with the Trust incident and serious incident policy and support staff in the investigation of serious incidents in line with Trust policy To facilitate the risk management and risk register process in the Division To develop and contribute to Quality Governance Reports, Quality Accounts and relevant regular reports. To facilitate the divisional compliance with Trust wide requirements for quality and key legislative requirements To attend relevant meetings in relation to quality, representing the Division and Trust as required. To facilitate quality improvement plans and monitor progress against improvement plans, highlighting any areas of concern to the Divisional Head of Quality Governance. Provide information in approved format for the corporate governance team under the direction of the Head of Quality Governance. Analyse data at a divisional and service-line level to identify themes and trends and provide reports to a variety of audiences To support the cascade of information on quality governance through the division To facilitate the development and implementation of the clinical audit programme across the division ensuring that a comprehensive programme of high quality audits and surveys is in place that supports National and Trust priorities, undertaken within agreed timelines and that any improvements identified through this programme are implemented in practice by services To lead on any corporate audits required; ensuring that the division takes part/contributes to all relevant National clinical audit programmes. To ensure the division complies with reporting and response to incidents in line with Trust policies including the investigation of incidents in a timely manner To support staff in the investigation of serious incidents in line with Trust policy To support learning and education across the division in the design and delivery of training, supporting the development of a learning culture within the division To project manage the Annual Patient Survey and related patient & carers experience feedback processes and ensure that patient experience is fully embedded and captured across the division. To ensure effective and aligned processes in place for distribution and acknowledgement of Trust and Divisional guidelines and policies. To ensure the division implements actions from complaints and concerns in line with trust wide standards To be an active member of the integrated quality governance team, leading and supporting staff in the team as required To work with and line-manage members of the Divisional Quality Governance team in an integrated manner to ensure cover is provided across key areas during staff absences. To be responsible for holding monthly Supervisory sessions with relevant members of the Divisional Governance Team as required. To be responsible for yearly Appraisals including the formulation of a Personal Development Plan. To assist in the recruitment and selection process and induction of all new staff. To participate in the Disciplinary and Grievance process as required. To monitor staff sickness, absence and annual leave, ensuring that the needs of the service are met at all times. To monitor and log non-attendance at departmental training events, manage spreadsheets, provide data and work with finance to ensure relevant managers are charged accordingly.
