Overview
Broster Buchanan are working with a high growth SME industrial services client based in central London. The role of Assistant Financial Controller has recently become available and is a fantastic opportunity for someone to to join the business at a time of change. Reporting to the divisional MD and working collaboratively with the Group Financial Controller, you will act as a commercial business partner to a £20million turnover division of the company with full ownership of the P&L. You will be responsible for monthly reconciliations and management accounts, owning the budgeting and forecasting process for the division, weekly cashflow forecasting and working with operational managers on commercial negotiations of contracts with customers. This position will also manage one member of staff and work with the central services team to continuously improve all financial systems and reporting processes. As the ideal candidate you will have the following skills and experience: Qualified accountant or finalist level with experience in a similar role Industry experience within a small to medium sized business that is growing Proven ability to work productively with senior management in a growing business Strong communication skills to build effective relationships with operations Technically minded with high level of computer/systems literacy This role is a rare all-round position working directly for an MD. It will be an ideal position for someone looking to develop their career in a senior leadership role within an SME over the next two to three years. The position is paying from £45,000 to £50,000 basic salary with bonus, pension and other flexible benefits.
