Overview
Robotics Software Engineer An exciting new position has been created for a Robotics Software Engineer to join my clients growing team working out of their new offices based in the Reading area. The ideal Robotics Engineer will be strong programming with either C++ or Python and have experience in Robotics Operating System (ROS). You will also have proven experience in key robotics areas: Motion planning, SLAM, wheel/drive control and autonomous intelligent systems and ideally have worked with TCP/IP or UDP for ROS. The successful Engineer will be involved in the full lifecycle of software development, from architectural design and planning, through to the delivery of well-designed, testable and efficient code. You will be joining a small team of engineers passionate about robotics working with the most up to date technology available. So a keen interest in robotics is ideal as is the ability to work in a small team and on individual project basis. In addition to the above technical criteria experience with any of the below is desirable but not essential: Embedded systems – simulators (Gazebo) Unix systems – low latency applications Agile software development Networking and comms protocols – Ethernet, Adaptive RD, COFDM, CANbus The successful Robotics Engineer will receive a competitive salary with plenty of opportunity to grow within the business and develop your career further.
