Due to impressive periods of growth a world leader Electrical and Mechanical management systems is actively seeking an Senior Electrical Design Engineer to oversee and lead the development of control systems that will be instrumental in the capture of toxic gases during specialist manufacturing processes. Gas knowledge is not required. Based in Somerset, commutable from Cardiff, Newport, Chepstow, Gloucester, Cheltenham, Bristol, Clevedon, Weston-Super-Mare, Swindon, Bath and Yeovil. As the Senior Electrical Design Engineer you will be responsible for overseeing and driving the design of electrical schematics and control panels as well as the EMC testing of for special purpose equipment. As you would expect from a £Multi-billion organisation there is fantastic internal career development opportunities. The requirements for Senior Electrical Design Engineer job will be: Developing electrical and controls solutions to meet customer requirements. Experience in control system design. Achieving project goals based on deliverables for customers. Assisting manufacturing engineers and technicians with queries during equipment build and test. Producing schematics, wiring schedules and loom diagrams in a fast pace development environment ensuring high quality designs which comply with regional standards and regulations. Creating and maintaining Bills of Material. Implementation of hardware interlocks to ensure safe machine operation. Understanding of engineering change control. Providing support and guidance to more junior members of the electrical team.
