Senior Java Developer - £60,000 Manchester City Centre - Want to work for one of, if not the, most appealing tech product business in the North West? - Have a real influence as a key figure within a delivery team that are passionate about building large scale software products that make a real difference to all of our lives; helping you, your friends, family and neighbours, along with every other household in the UK, to save money - Orchestrate NEW platform/product development using modern technologies such as Java 8/9, AWS, Spring Boot, NodeJS, VueJS and Apache Spark? A new Senior Java Developer role has arisen for one of Manchester's most appealing employers based in right in Spinngingfields. In this role you will be a key part of a software engineering function of around 180and lead a talented squad (5-6 developers) who are constantly improving their platform and products to help customers save more money. It is estimated the products helped UK households save in excess of £2 billion in 2019 alone You will naturally be a very process driven developer with a good understanding of iterative software development lifecycle (Agile, Scrum, Kanban) and have prior exposure to TDD/BDD. You will know hat it means to work with large/distributed systems and want to take a leading role in improving our ways of working. For the roles it would be great to see to following skills/experience from applicants: - Java 8-11 - Spring Boot - RESTful services (JSON) - Javascript - Build Tools (Ant, Maven, Gradle) - CI / CD methodologies - OO principles and design - A real drive towards continuous improvement and building world class engineering teams In addition to a very competitive salary ranging from £55,000-£60,000 you would also be working amongst some of the most inspiring Java Software Engineers coupled with delivering modern accessible solutions on an enterprise scale.
