Overview
Position: Head of Finance Location: London Salary: £40,000 - £50,000 per annum Role: Permanent Our client is an outstanding school based in a very desirable area of London. The school prides itself on providing an award-winning education and first-class pastoral care. They are now looking to recruit a permanent Head of Finance. This position could suit someone who is looking to take the next step in their career i.e. Management Accountant, Senior Finance Officer or Finance Manager. You must be able to lead the school on all finance matters and provide sound guidance to the SLT. We are looking for someone with prior experience of working within the Education sector i.e. Schools, Multi Academy Trust, Colleges or Universities. This is a must. Preferably we would like someone who is professionally qualified; CIMA or ACCA. However, we will consider part-qualified or qualified by experience. As Head of Finance you will play a strategic role in the management of the school and will be responsible for key areas such as: • Financial Planning, Management and Reporting • Accounting and Governance • Payroll • Procurement and Contract Management • Income Generation As Head of Finance you will provide financial support to the school’s Senior Leadership team and their Governors. You will also assist in providing guidance to the Governors on financial and administrative systems, audit and charity accounting matters.
