Area Sales Manager – Piling & Ground Engineering Services Job Title: Housebuilder Sales Manager – Piling & Ground Engineering Services Industry Sector: Housebuilders, Regional Developers, Commercial Builders, Heavy Plant, Slope Stability, Geotechnical Engineering, Piling, Restricted Access Micropiling, Ground Investigation, Modular Foundations, Ground Beams, Ground Anchors, Soil Nails, Rock Bolts, Screw Piles, Pile Testing, On-Track Rail Services, and Drilling & Grouting Area to be covered: South West, South Wales & South Central Remuneration: £45,000-£60,000 15% Bonus Benefits: Car allowance full benefits package The role of the Housebuilder Sales Manager – Piling & Ground Engineering Services will involve: Field sales role selling our client’s piling and ground engineering services Selling into predominantly national housebuilders (80%), but also regional developers & commercial builders (20%) 50% of your time developing existing housebuilder projects and accounts on patch 50% of your time new business development Inheriting an area with a turnover of circa £10m-£12m Tasked with growing the area by 10-12% Average project sizes are circa £100,000-£160,000 (typically rigs on site for 4 weeks) Targeting some larger projects with improved margin, due to savings in mobilisation and set up costs, e.g. from £2m-£12m (our client current does approx. 12 of these per annum, would like to double this nationally) Not responsible for pricing, this will be done by the estimation team 10-12 customer visits per week Spending on average 4 days on the road with 1 day working from head office in South Yorkshire/ East Midlands The ideal applicant will be a Housebuilder Sales Manager – Piling & Ground Engineering Services experience with: · Must have sold into national housebuilders · Ideally sold technical services to the construction industry – preferably “in the ground” solutions · Specific geotechnical or piling services knowledge is not essential · Open to product manufacturers background if they have also sold services of an installation team · Technical competent · Ideally some civil engineering qualifications · Self-starter, hit the ground running mentality individual · High level sales to engineering professionals The Company: · Est. 30 years · 150 employees · Circa £100m · Privately held Please contact Paul, Lee or Simon from Mitchell Maguire on 01625 527 207 for an immediate interview.
