Area Sales Manager - Plumbers Merchants Job Title: Regional Sales Manager - Plumbers Merchants Industry Sector: Plumbing fittings, accessories, valves, waste pipes, guttering, plumbers merchants, builders merchants, distribution Area to be covered: West side of London & South East Remuneration: £38,000-£44,000 £5,000-£7,000 Bonus Benefits: Hybrid Car full benefits The role of the Area Sales Manager - Plumbers Merchants will involve: Field sales position, selling a distributed range of plumbing fitting, values and accessories Promoting an extensive portfolio of 3,000 products Selling into circa 100 trading merchant accounts (approx. 180 in total), split approx. 70% plumbers merchants and 30% builders merchants (mix of branches from national and also independents) 70% account management, 30% account development position Responsible for approx. £1m turnover Inheriting an area currently performing approx. 90% of budget 6 calls per day, typically selling into buyers within a trade counter Utilising an in-house CRM system which is fully accessible for your mobile devices Working as one of two field sales professionals covering London & South East The ideal applicant will be an Area Sales Manager - Plumbers Merchants with: Proven field sales experience within the plumbing industry Must have sold plumbing products into plumbers merchants or building merchants May consider field sales experience having working for a plumbers merchants Familiarity with plumbing fitting, valves and accessories Proven account management/ account development skills Excellent territory planning skills Contacts within distributors is not essential Incredibly pro-active, driven and motivated, prepared to manage the area as if it was your own business Commercial acumen, resilient The Company: Est. 30 years Circa £25m turnover 50 employees Privately held Please contact Paul, Lee or Simon from Mitchell Maguire for an immediate interview.
