CityFibre are looking for an experienced, hands on Systems Architect to take responsibility for ensuring that the architectural solutions for our OSS/BSS systems meet business requirements, and that they’re achievable within resource and infrastructure constraints. As Systems Architect, you'll be acting as a subject matter expert to across the business, collecting details requirements and then taking these through the full development lifecycle, delivering complete working systems. You’ll also: Take the technical lead all our software design and implementations, with experience of cloud and on-premise system architecture Look after OSS / BSS integration, taking responsibility for the interaction / automation between all of CityFibre and partner systems Make sure any 3rd party solutions / developments commissioned are fit for purpose, and adhere to company standards Keep up to date with emerging technologies which could support CityFibre in the future Work with the BA team in gathering other department requirements, including Sales, Network, Operations, Finance and strategic 3rd party suppliers – recommending architecturally viable solutions Seek system solutions that can be leveraged to meet the business requirements and improve ways of working WHAT WILL YOU BRING? We’re looking for someone who experience as a system/network administrator, with the ability to demonstrate responsibility for the operation of Unix Service and AWS Cloud Solutions. You’ll have strong negotiation and relationship building skills when dealing with internal customers, key stakeholders and wider team members with the willingness to get stuck in when supporting and mentoring on all things system based. Through understanding of available technology and researches - AWS, O365, Google, Jira, ITMS Excellent design and architecture experience with AWS Networking hardware protocols standards technologies - TCP/IP firewalls switches routers, Sofos Hands-on experience in bespoke development of package implementation over a selection of Billing (Like XPAY, Xero), CRM (Salesforce), Workflow / ESB (OpenESB, Cloudhub), Asset Management, RDBMS (MySQL, Oracle) and ticketing platforms Salesforce development, configuration and best practises Cloud and on-premise system architecture, both implementation and management Deploying open source software solutions in place of commercial solutions Software development background in an Agile or Waterfall environment with experience in coding, debugging and reviewing - Apex, Python, JavaScript, PHP, Web frameworks Network topologies, especially access and aggregation networks - Netconf and SSH (full understanding of OSI model) Asset management / GIS systems High technical competency in OSS infrastructure architecture, both in Linux and Windows architecture (especially within the cloud) and for data modelling Reverse engineering undocumented legacy systems and software Risk and impact assessment Minimum associate degree required, Bachelor’s degree preferred, in computer science or a related field Design authority experience WHATS IN IT FOR YOU?
