Overview
Data Engineer - Wimbledon - up to 65k This role is to work with a UK market leader in providing technology. They are on a mission to empower the companies they work for to be more efficient and effective through innovative and open architecture technology, widening the reach or advice to ensure more people have access to these services. This is a new role so you will be able to devlop it and yourself The compnay also offers the chance to work from home one day a week if needed. The type of person: Creative, passionate, practical people to join our growing team of like-minded individuals People with a proven track record of building data pipelines to load data into data lakes and data warehouses running in the cloud. Someone with a strong desire to create best in class enterprise data solutions You will be: Design, build, monitor and manage large scale batch and streaming data pipelines in AWS cloud environment Data Analysis Data modelling You will need: experience in building complex data pipelines/ETL/ELT scripts Extensive experience with Python/PySpark as our Data pipelines will be built in PySpark Good understanding of SQL Excellent knowledge of AWS and components such as S3, Glue, Athena, RDS Experience with Data Warehouse databases like Redshift/Snowflake/BigQuery Experience with implementing Rest APIs. Experience with using and integrating BI tools such as Looker, Qlik, Power BI, Tableau Modern data engineering practises
