Join us in the new year as we support adults with learning disabilities over several services in central High Wycombe. We have an exciting opportunity opening up as we look to recruit to our team of friendly and positive people to work within a positive behaviour support project for individuals with autism, learning disabilities and complex behaviours. Senior Support staff are an important part of White Leaf Support and provide hands on support to our service users whilst also providing a line management link between support staff and Team Leaders and taking on senior day to day responsibilities in our teams. The post requires the responsibility of adhering to White Leaf’s Charter, values and Statement of Purpose. Senior Support staff will provide emotional, education and physical support to service users and will act as a role model treating service users with respect, dignity and equality. Senior Support workers will also lead shifts, carry out daily and weekly checks and ensure staff are appropriately allocated during the day. To ensure that each service user’s needs are fully met and they are fully involved in all aspects of their lives and to encourage individuals to be as independent as possible. All senior support staff will receive in-house mentoring, supervision and training and White Leaf Support will provide the necessary direction to carry out the full responsibilities. Reporting to the Team Leader/ Home Manager Some duties and r esponsibilities include: To ensure that the service users receive the highest levels of support and services in accordance with White Leaf Support ’s Mission Statement, Statement of Purpose and policies and procedures. To deliver high quality person centred support in line with the values and philosophy of the organisation To lead and encourage teams on shift to support individuals professionally and appropriately To provide and maintain a high standard of support, role modelling and personal care for each service user and to be a positive role model for support workers. To adhere to each service user’s support plan, risk assessments and support file and to add to it and use it as a working document to inform staff of any changes to the person’s support needs To support service users with daily living skills with an aim to enhance their independence. To undertake additional duties that may be necessary to meet the needs of service users.
