Overview
My client is looking for a compassionate and quick thinking A&E Nurse to join the emergency team on an agency basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for handling initial patient assessments, performing laboratory work, point of care testing and associated administrative tasks. The A&E nurse will also collaborate with A&E doctors on discharge plans and create outpatient instructions for each patient who is not admitted to the hospital. Shifts are on an ad hoc or long term basis. Days and Nights available Responsible for maintaining care standards in accident and emergency Assist with checking in patients, doing triage work for doctors and generating initial insurance paperwork Work closely with doctors to keep patients and their family members updated on test results or treatment recommendations Maintain contact with laboratory personnel to report any initial lab findings back to the A&E doctors Make arrangements for patients that are deemed to need care requiring them to be admitted to the hospital for one night or longer Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing Registered nurse 6 months experience in an emergency medical facility Strong ability to work well on a team Exceptional communication skills IF YOU ARE INTERESTED PLEASE CALL ANIL TEJI Triage (assign degrees of urgency and order of treatment) to patients so those who have more critical issues get care first Take patients' vital signs Administer medication Record patients' symptoms Help doctors with medical procedures Provide education and support to patients and families Remain calm under pressure Think and act quickly in urgent situations Work and communicate well with the doctors and the rest of the medical team Be compassionate with patients and their families who may be upset ER nursing and trauma nursing have similarities, but it's important to note that they are not the same thing. The role of the nurse in the emergency department is to generally treat conditions that people enter the emergency room for, like pains, broken bones, wounds and other issues that aren't immediately life-threatening. However, trauma nurses usually work in the trauma center section of emergency rooms or intensive care units. Patients who enter trauma centers usually arrive with critical life-threatening issues. For example, someone who was in a serious car accident might get transported to the trauma center. Trauma nurses have basic and advanced skills in life support, including CPR and the use of a defibrillator.
