My client provide an essential service to both adults and children who have suffered brain and spinal injuries. Qualified staff assess clients' needs and offer individually designed case management and rehabilitation programmes. The company was established in 1994 and is now a successful rehabilitation and case management consultancy, working in close co-operation with the legal profession. An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated Occupational Therapist with experience of assessing adults and children with complex neuro-disability for specialist equipment and housing adaptations to join the Occupational Therapy service. The Role The role is very varied and requires initiative and creativity when it comes to designing bespoke solutions to clients' needs. You will be required to keep up to date with new developments and initiatives in relation to equipment and housing design. You will be responsible for working with clients and their families to assess their needs and make recommendations for specialist equipment. This includes both fixed and portable equipment for personal care, mobility, household, education, work, leisure and community activities. In addition, you will also be required to assess clients' housing needs and make recommendations for adaptations to properties to meet those needs. This can also include sourcing and designing new properties. The role is community based and involves liaison with a wide range of agencies, both from the public and independent sector including Solicitors, Care Experts, Architects, Builders and Social Service Occupational Therapists. The post is autonomous and flexible, you will have a degree of control of your diary and will be only required to meetings centrally monthly. Essential Criteria Experience specifically within the area of equipment and adaptations Occupational therapy degree HCPC registration Driving licence Benefits Private Medical Insurance Death in Service Company Car & Company Mileage Interview Process The interview process will consist of just one interview with the company's clinical lead for occupational therapy and groups business manager Location This role is based across Sheffield and the surrounding areas and is commutable from Doncaster, Rotherham, Worksop and Mansfield to name few.
