Graduate Structural Engineer job in Bath, Building Structures Consultancy, Structural Engineering, Graduate Your new company Your new company is a recently established structural engineering consultancy who are fast growing and looking to expand their structural team in Bath. They carry out a variety of projects with a small team dedicated to the training and mentoring of any new members of staff. They cover a large part of the UK and are well established within their current client network, but with plans of continuous growth, this is a great opportunity to be a large part of an up-and-coming consultancy i the South West. Your new role In your new role you will be undertaking detailed design and analysis of structural elements and frames in concrete, steel, timber and masonry for mostly residential, educational and commercial buildings, liaising with architects, statutory authorities, the design team and contractors, be involved with site surveys and inspection work and working together with others to meet deadlines. What you'll need to succeed You will ideally have relevant basic skills and knowledge, with a minimum of degree level or equivalent vocational qualification in Structural Engineering. You should be able to understand and create structural plans and details from architectural plans using AutoCAD, have carried out detailed design and analysis of structural elements and frames in concrete, steel, timber and masonry to current Eurocodes and relevant design guidance notes, be able to communicate fluently in both spoken and written English, think creatively and logically to resolve design challenges and be able to manage your own time and work load. What you'll get in return You will be rewarded with a competitive salary £24,000 - £28,000 DOE, 25 days holiday bank holidays, pension contributions, support in obtaining Chartership, one-to-one training from the first day and an opportunity to take on a lot of responsibility within the business.
