Your new company As the sole agency supplier to the HM Prison Service for the provision of maintenance trades and support operatives. Hays is seeking to recruit a joiner for HMYOI Deerbolt. Working for the Ministry Of Justice within a selected Prison, you will need to possess a professional and mature attitude with the relevant qualifications. Your new role To carry out joinery work within but not exclusively in the joinery workshop. Measure and quote for works Carry out joinery work, examples of work include making doors, windows, signposts, formwork and other bespoke timber items Order materials Maintain stock of building maintenance material Responsible for joinery workshop - maintenance of machines, statutory inspections, housekeeping and cleanliness To participate in the service's out of hours emergency standby rota when the need arises and if necessary due to contractual or staff circumstances What you'll need to succeed Minimum of 1st Fix Joinery - Compulsory 2nd Fix Joinery - Desired 2 years experience within the role Enhanced Level 1 Prison Clearance (carried out as part of your registration process for this role) What you'll get in return You will in return have a guaranteed point of contact throughout the vetting and application process and weekly payment on submission of your time-sheet.
