Senior Project Manager / Project Manager
Overview
THE ROLE I am now seeking a PROJECT MANAGER or SENIOR PROJECT MANAGER to join a large firm of multi disciplinary construction consultants in either of their Cambridgeshire offices. A background working for another UK firm of construction consultants or multi disciplinary consultants is essential. You will be involved in running building construction projects from inception to completion across a range of projects including offices, residential, universities and healthcare building projects. THE CLIENT My client is a large multi disciplinary firm of construction and engineering consultants offering clients a range of services including quantity surveying, project management, building surveying, health & safety, civil & structural engineering, architecture etc. They have offices across the UK and overseas. THE CANDIDATE You will need to currently be working as a Project Manager and be keen to work on higher value projects or to move up to a Senior Project Manager. You must have gained good experience of running a number of projects valued from £5m upwards. Previous experience of construction projects for offices, residential, education and / or healthcare is required. Ideally you will have broad based experience across a range of construction projects. You will have a Construction / Built Environment Degree. You may be working towards becoming chartered or already be chartered and support will be given if required. You must be able to drive the projects forward to completion within time and on budget. You should have experience of project management from RIBA Stage 1 to completion. You will have knowledge of a range of building contracts and have good contract administration experience. Good communication skills are essential to deal directly with clients. You must be able to get on with people at all levels and be a good organiser to move the project forward. Salary is from £35000 to £60000 per annum depending on experience plus pension and a range of other projects.
