Overview

Hodge Solicitors are a well-known firm in Blairgowrie comprising four partners and support staff. We offer a diverse range of legal services including a busy property department. We are looking for an experienced Cashier/Bookkeeper for our office who is confident in the use of SAGE. This position would suit candidates who have a legal or financial background. A SOLAS qualification would be advantageous but not essential. Reporting to the cashroom partner, duties will include VAT returns Credit Control Reconciling Petty cash Bank Reconciliations Daily Banking Daily postings Open and record new matters Set up all electronic payments Prompt payment of invoices Manage client accounts to Law Society standards Monthly payroll for approximately 20 employees Other tasks as required Qualities Work with minimum supervision Good time management, adopting a flexible approach to work Demonstrates persistence and commitment to completing tasks and objectives Delivers work output to the required standard Pays attention to detail and quality of work Demonstrate a commitment to improving working practices
