Our client is looking for Legal Assistant/Paralegal

Qualifications, Skills and Experience

A minimum of five O’ Level subjects including English and Mathematics, Grades I and II only;

At least three (3) years of administrative experience.

Legal experience in Corporate and Commercial Practice will be an asset.

Proficient in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, Windows and Outlook; Experience working in an ICT network environment would be an asset.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and a team player;

Strong customer service orientation;

Excellent organization and time management skills;

Ability to work without supervision, within tight deadlines, exercise good judgment, use initiative.


Responsibilities: 

Incorporation of Companies

Corporate Maintenance using Companies Registry Online System (CROS)Preparation of Agreements for Sale, Deed Pools, Powers of Attorney, Wills, letters and other legal documents.

Preparation of Deeds, Mortgages, Leases, Assignments, Transfers.

Ensure the registration and filing of documents.

Schedule appointments with clients and Attorneys, update clients on the status of matters, and receive instructions as necessary.

Liaise with external parties and institutions including government agencies, and other Attorneys.

Preparation of invoices and assisting attorneys with time recording.

Resolving and referring a range of client problems and inquiries.

Assisting attorneys on assignments to keep projects on schedule.

Drafting responses to correspondence for approval by attorneys.

Answering multi-line telephones and transferring calls as necessary.

Performing such other duties as are incidental to the smooth operation of the department.
