Overview
Solution Architect - Birmingham £68,000 - £74,000 I am working with an established technology led consultancy who are creating operational centres of excellence around Iaas/Paas Operational support and automation services primarily focused on the Azure Platform. The new Architecture and Design function sits as a professional services discipline in Operational Excellence. The function supports the Automation team focusing on solution governance, administration and delivery of enterprise, solution and technical architecture design for RPA and other automation technologies. The multi domain Solutions Architecture role will play a key role in bid activities, solution design, delivery governance and assurance, supporting and working with internal and external stakeholders. Primary objectives: To play a key role in the adoption of Automation technologies such as RPA. To promote co-operation, coach and facilitate co-ordination of all solution streams To coach and lead resources as part of an ICT account initiative, programme or project to achieve the successful delivery of an integrated technical solution. To support and be the technology lead on Automation projects and initiatives. To understand the business drivers and goals, challenges, and complexities that exist within the client's information landscape. To apply technical knowledge and customer insight to create solutions to meet business needs. To shape, influence and contribute to the development of a programme or project. To provide solution assurance across all streams of a project or programme and work with the Business Analysts and Development resources to arrive at an integrated technical solution that meets the business requirements. To be responsible and accountable for the integrated solution design across all streams of a project or programme. To assist in the development and implementation of the technology roadmaps and automation strategy in line with the client's business goals, objectives, and transformation agenda. To support Operational Excellence in meeting its business plan objectives. Essential Experience and Skills: High degree of commercial acumen. Proven and demonstrable experience as a Solutions Architect. Significant experience in a technical solution role with a strong focus as a solution owner with hands on experience of coordinating different technical streams of a project or programme. Proven track record of engaging with customers at Chief Officer level including but not limited to: CIO, CDO, CTO. Comfortable with complexity even when requirements may be ambiguous or incomplete. Experience of designing and implementing complex large-scale solutions as part of major projects or multi-stream programme lifecycle. Experience of designing and/or operating within multi-tenant platforms or environments. Practical experience of designing data management solutions and supporting their practical implementation. An excellent understanding and delivery of enterprise, technical and solution architecture within a business transformation/project environment. Experience of technology and architecture governance and assurance management. Previous experience of producing comprehensive cost models and business cases with clear ROI. Broad knowledge of software technologies in the current market place. Good knowledge of technical infrastructure and integration technologies. Previous work experience in a Consulting/Architecture position within a software and/or services company. Proven in-depth experience in two or more of the following: Technology Architecture Application Architecture/development Data Architecture Business Architecture Azure DevOps Public/Private/Hybrid Cloud Solutions Architecture certifications Demonstrable awareness and practical experience of implementing architectural principles and techniques using the TOGAF9 or another framework.
