Overview

Position: 1 st /2nd Line Support Based: Basildon, Essex Salary: £23k - £25k (depending on experience) A great opportunity has arisen for a 1 st /2 nd Line Support to join a well-established engineering company. This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate individual to take full ownership of a role in a business that will allow you gradually take on more responsibility Working in a small team to help maintain and improve the IT infrastructure of a busy medium sized company, involving remote users and approx. 60-70 desktop users. This role will be ideal for someone looking to develop an all-round IT grounding as the role is varied. The position will be initially 1 st Line help desk support of internal systems. Must have good communications skills, numeracy and analytical, accurate A passion for customer service and the desire to work effectively as part of a small team Aptitude and soft skills and willingness to develop these skills will be paramount A rounded knowledge of user support in an active directory environment. Phone system support would be advantageous Time management and organisation skills and prioritizing of issues Ability to use own initiative to see tasks through to completion Capability to work well independently, under pressure and with an eye for detail A Willingness and enthusiasm to learn is essential Good attention to detail Flexibility and a team player, willing to learn and adapt quickly in fast paced environment Day to day duties of 1st/2nd Line Support include: Physical delivery, monitoring and support of computer systems and IT equipment Active directory, printers, mobile phones, office, Server, Windows, VMware, Network Desktop support, AV and Software updates, backup strategy using Backup Exec 2012-2018.
