Commercial Manager Quantity Surveyor Glasgow £65000 Pension holiday Excellent opportunity for Quantity Surveyor with commercial management experience to joina leading renewable energy company that will offer you a varied, challenging and autonomous position. Based in Glasgow this company are regarded as the market leading wind turbine installation companies in Europe. They offer services to some of the largest wind turbine suppliers such as Nordex, Enercon, Vestas celtic and GE. In this role the Commercial Manager Quantity Surveyor will be responsible for all Commercial and Contractual matters on assigned projects. You also will create and maintain Commercial systems, processes and all associated documentation, contribute to the Commercial plans for the busin3ss and help develop the business for the future. The ideal candidate will have experience of managing Commercial aspects on large complex projects, be Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying, Engineering, Project Management or Construction Management and be Chartered membership of relevant professional body e.g. RICS. This is a great role for someone looking to join a growing business where you will play a huge part in the companies development over the next few years The role: Assisting with creation of Commercial systems, processes and practices and establishing these as common practice throughout the organization by coaching and training Project Teams and others. Supporting other individuals including undertaking performance and development reviews (PDRs) and mentoring and coaching less experienced colleagues. Liaising with operational management and advising on all matters relating to Contract and Commercial issues. Maintaining accurate financial control systems and reporting monthly on Cost/Value Reconciliation. Liaising with and advising on all financial aspects of contracts, ensuring that valuations are maximised, certified and paid on time. The person: Experience of managing Commercial aspects on large complex projects. Deep understanding of the Contracts / Commercial factors which drive success. Strong understanding of various forms of contract. Previous Wind Industry experience is desirable However, electrical / mechanical / construction will be considered. Degree Level (or equivalent) in Quantity Surveying, Engineering, Project Management or Construction Management related discipline.
