Overview

Corporate Governance Advisor - Bristol - Flexible Working The Role Our client is a leading provider who are known for their customer focus; they currently have a rare opportunity for a Corporate Governance Advisor to join them in their Bristol office. You will be responsible for supporting the Company Secretary in the effective and efficient provision of secretarial services to the Board, maintaining statutory records for the company and dealing with correspondence, collating, reviewing and preparing information and writing reports. The role can be full time or part-time (4 days a week) and offers good flexible working options. What You'll Be Doing In this role, you will be responsible for carrying out all Corporate Governance and Company Secretarial functions for our client's provision businesses. On a typical day you will provide corporate governance and company secretarial support for c250 subsidiary companies and will be working within a complex and diverse corporate and compliance structure. Acting as a trusted professional, you will be advising Legal and senior business stakeholders on company related issues, corporate governance requirements and process improvement. Who are we looking for? The ideal person will have excellent analytical skills, attention to detail and stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence and negotiate at all levels. You will have a degree along with a professional qualification, preferably an Associate of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators, and/or might be working towards the professional governance qualification (part qualified). This would also suit a recently qualified solicitor looking to pursue a move into a corporate governance/company secretarial profession. Relevant experience acquired through working in a complex or large private or listed group, in areas such as company law, company secretarial practice or corporate governance and risk management is ideal.
