Overview
JOB- Mechanical Design Engineer LOCATION- Surrey TERM- Permanent SALARY- £25,000 - £35,000 per annum (dependent on experience) My client designs and manufactures a range of products and they are looking to take on a Mechanical Design Engineer on a permanent basis in the Surrey area. The Mechanical Design Engineer will ideally have the following attributes: HNC/ HND / Degree qualification as a minimum in Mechanical Engineering or similar Have 2 or more years’ industry experience working in a similar role Proficiency with 3D CAD software- ideally SolidWorks but other programmes will also be considered Have prototype engineering experience Have had exposure to product testing for development Be able to work well individually as well as part of a team Have excellent communication skills (both verbal and written) Be hard working and methodical The Mechanical Design Engineer role will involve: Working within the current Engineering team alongside the Senior Designer Creating new product designs using SolidWorks CAD software and ECR’s too Contributing to product development and risk assessments Generating the BOM’s to go with the associated designs Assisting in the creation of test plans Being involved in prototype assembly using the test equipment and machine shop Assisting in creating installation instructions If you are interested in this position, please apply with an up to date CV as soon as possible, along with your availability and your salary expectation.
