Overview

Job Title: HR Manager Tempest Resourcing are recruiting on behalf of a Higher Educational Institute who are looking to appoint an experienced HR Manager . The role is a Permanent Full - time position based in North London. The school are looking for someone who can start Immediately . Salary: £31,765.47 to £33,586.74 per annum The perfect candidate will have previous experience as an HR Manager within a school or education setting. The HR Manager duties and responsibilities will include: Providing advice and support to managers on any staff management issues including performance and absence management. To communicate fully with the Head of People (HR) & Engagement on all significant issues. Working to develop and implement HR policies and practices in line with good practice to support an effective working environment. Responsible for the recruitment, selection and induction process for staff Manage the HR team to ensure high standards of delivery. Keeping up to date with Legislation changes Ensure compliance with the statutory safeguarding requirements including the provision of an accurate single central register. Manage the HR database to ensure the provision of accurate information and optimal use of the functionality. Ensure the Director of Resources is informed about staff related matters as necessary. Any other duties as may be required. To review contract terms and employment status on a case by case basis and provide relevant information to the finance department for payrolls. Monthly preparation and checking of payroll. Administer all benefits, such as pensions, BUPA, death in service, etc. to ensure accurate administration of salary payment of all staff The perfect candidate will have: Previous Higher Education, Payroll and ADP experience Proficient in using HR systems, including Microsoft Windows and Office packages Experience of Managing staff Personal Specification: Excellent communication skills, both written and oral Good interpersonal skills Confident user of ICT Integrity Flexibility and ability to adapt Proactive rather than reactive and willing to seek advice and support where necessary Good planning and organisational skills Ability to prioritise workload and meet exacting deadlines Demonstrate discretion and sensitivity when dealing with issues concerning staff, stakeholders and the wider community Ability to work as part of a team or on own initiative To apply for this position please contact Harvey at Tempest Resourcing or fill out the application form below.
