Structural Quality Inspector - Heavy Engineering Near Liverpool Salary circa £18/hour This is an exciting opportunity to join a well-established heavy engineering company based near Liverpool THE COMPANY A well-established heavy engineering business based near Liverpool. They are specialists in heavy engineering, plating, welding, fabrication and modular build. They supply product to a global customer base and have a great reputation for outstanding quality. They have a well-established team and have a very full order book. THE ROLE As Structural Quality Inspector you will be responsible for daily inspection, non-destructive testing and root cause analysis on all products produced. Inspection is a blend of manual dimensional inspection techniques using tools such as calipers, verniers, micrometers Non-destructive testing includes, hardness testing, metallographic processing and welding inspection Carry out root cause analysis on all non-conforming products and put in place corrective and preventative actions THE PERSON You will be an experienced Structural Dimensional Inspector with a background in Heavy Engineering and will be comfortable working on large scale modular build projects. You will be an experience Quality technician with a strong eye for detail and will have a methodical and logical process or root cause analysis. You will be working with a great team of knowledgeable, dedicated people in the quality team as well as in production and will be a good team player and will communicate well.
