Within a highly dynamic , positive and action driven environment in a newly developed unit of their organization , based in the heart of Bristol you will work closely with multidisciplinary specialists reporting to the Software Team Leader. Responsibilities Working on all parts of the software development lifecycle, being responsible for designing and building software to gather and analyse data from our client's scientific instruments range. Solving software related challenges and related systems engineering issues as well as investigating new software innovations and their potential application to the wider team and organisation. Working in a SCRUM environment where cross functional teamwork and close collaboration with the customer and fellow colleagues is highly valued. What do I need to be successful in this position ? A Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering , Mathematics, Physics or similar experience. At least one significant long-term experience in a C# development environment, ideally for Windows Desktop, but Web experience can also be considered. Strong analytical capabliities, you thrive on problem solving and challenges on a diverse range of products and systems. Strongly results-driven with a keen eye for customer product usage. Ability to think and act like an end-user with emphasis on product quality indicators, such as analytical performance , ease of use, robustness, completeness and speed. You're self-motivated , detail-oriented and able to work independently as well as with the team. Nice to haves ? Experience working with TFS. Experience developing software for scientific or industrial instrumentation or an interest in science and technology beyond your day job Where can my career develop if I join ?
