Overview
Elevation Accountancy & Finance are really pleased to be working exclusively with a highly reputable organisation based in the Wakefield area, as they look to appoint a Credit Risk Analyst to work closely with the Credit Manager. This is a rare opportunity to join one of the finest and most successful Credit teams in Yorkshire. You will be responsible for ensuring that the company's view of customer credit risk is accurate, appropriate, up to date and highly visible for all that rely upon risk information for decision making. Key Tasks will include: Monitoring all customers for significant changes that impact the credit view, i.e. new accounts being filed, CCJ's, changes of ownership, payment performance deterioration etc. Providing credit limit recommendations with the assistance of internal credit risk models Presenting comprehensive credit assessment reports to senior management, incorporating a greater level of understanding regarding detailed trading and cash flow analysis Identifying marginal and high-risk customers early and taking necessary action to safeguard further sales and/or our financial exposure Analysing financial statements and generating financial ratios, using approved models and methodology to determine the financial status and risk involved in extending credit to customers and prospects Ensuring that risk analysis is completed for all customers on a regular basis and that all concerns are investigated, understood and, where appropriate, escalated to management Ensuring that the customer account carries an accurate credit limit recommendation and future review date and that each account has appropriate diary notes explaining any credit assessment carried out Liaising with the credit insurer or insurance broker to ensure the appropriate sharing of relevant information and concerns, with the support and under the instruction of management The successful candidate will have: Ideally 2 years' experience of credit risk analysis and assessment Ability to read a variety of financial information including statutory accounts, management accounts, cash flow information and credit agency report Capable of constructing credit assessment reports from disparate information so aiding informed decision making Ability to identify complex problems, review related information and develop and evaluate options before implementing appropriate solutions If you are a Credit Analyst or you feel that you have the experience to successfully undertake this role then please do not hesitate to contact Liam O'Flaherty at Elevation Recruitment Group.
