Operational Financial Controller | £50k | Manchester | ACA CIMA ACCA | High growth SME | Hands on role Axon Moore is working with one of the largest independent graphic design and reprographics businesses in the UK. Building on a strong reputation and nationwide operations, the management team have plans to increase market share through strategic acquisitions and organic growth. In line with plans for future growth, our client is looking for a hands-on Financial Controller with a real operational focus. About the role Reporting directly into the owner and MD, we are looking for a dynamic finance professional with commercial awareness and a strong technical skillset to join the team and support decision-making within the business. Responsibilities will include identifying opportunities to increase revenue and establishing finance as a driver for commercial success; overseeing and improving the company’s accounting processes; production and management of accounts for internal and external reporting requirements; leading the annual audit process; and active involvement in ad-hoc commercial projects. Duties & Responsibilities - Preparation of monthly board packs including management accounts with commentary - Development and update of Company Business Plan with real input - Cash flow forecasting - Group budget preparation - Preparation of statutory accounts - Audit preparation and liaising with external auditors - Financial system and accounting improvements - Other ad hoc tasks Core Competencies - Strong Microsoft Office skills, particular Excel - Flexible and adaptable to the needs of the business - Excellent communication skills – able to communicate financial information to non-finance colleagues - Can work well independently and prioritise workloads to achieve goals Qualifications and Skills Required - ICAEW/ACCA/CIMA Qualified or QBE - Advanced Excel skills - Self-motivated and good communicator For more information or immediate consideration, please get in touch with Bradley at Axon Moore on
