Job description Some of your main responsibilities as a care assistant will be: Helping clients with their individual needs and maintaining independence. Companionship. Personal care – help with bathing/ showering, dressing, assisting to the toilet. Prompting to take medication. Accompanying to appointments. Light housekeeping duties and meal preparation. Keeping up to date care notes after every visit to the client’s home. Please note, it is essential that you have the full UK driving license and access to a car. Our training: Paid training – 1 week of in house classroom training led by UKG Lifeskills, also 1 week of shadowing a care assistant on care calls on the run you will be attending. 1-to-1 support, i.e. reviews, competency checks, supervision’s and observations. Small classroom groups. Career prospects: Care Certificate training in-house. Dementia friends workshop in house. Specialist Care training all available in-house – including Dementia and Palliative Care, all nationally recognised. Fully Funded professional qualifications available up to Level 5 in health and social care. Our shift patterns: We offer a range of variable hour contacts; part time and full-time hours are available on the stated shift patterns.
