Overview
The Client – Building Surveyor: Castlefield Recruitment are working with a well-established housing association who are looking to appoint a Building Surveyor for a permanent position based in the North East. The Role – Building Surveyor: Deliver a technical service that provides effective capital investment, cyclical and statutory maintenance service, to time and budget, in line with legislation, capital programme and strategic objectives Prepare early stage cost estimates, monitor expenditure and maintain budgetary control, ensuring value for money in accordance with partnered contractual arrangements or otherwise approved contracts Undertake surveying duties from inception to completion, including stock condition, energy efficiency, adaption’s, repairs or improvements, Fire Risk Assessments, Annual Technical Inspections, including preparation and production of feasibility reports, specifications of work and drawings The Person – Building Surveyor: Experience of managing contractors To be able to understand technical drawings Experience of preparing tender documentation A HNC in a construction related discipline CAD experience desirable
