Overview
Expanding their operations our client now wishes to add to their existing team by inviting applications for the following position: Regional Operations Director - Temperature Controlled Packaging Location: Home based. Open dependent on willingness to travel across the defined region. Package: Base salary dependent on experience but commensurate the senior nature of the role Company Bonus Healthcare Pension Car Allowance The Company: Our client is a leading manufacturer and distributor of Temperature Controlled Packaging and Thermal Logistics and now wish to add to their existing team by inviting applications for the position of Regional Operations Director. Job Description: This individual applying for the position will be responsible for facilitating, coordinating, and managing the day to day operations within the defined region including supply chain, logistics, materials management, customer service, partner management and account management. The position ensures that all operations are performed in compliance with local and international laws, rules and regulations. Key functions: Manage day-to-day operational activities to ensure all sales and customer requirments are met. Manage staff of direct and indirect employees, including but not limited too; Supply Chain, Logistics, Order Entry, Customer Service, Warehouse, QA, Shipping and Receiving. Work closely with business development and management to develop financial models to support new initiatives, customer opportunities and changes to the plan. Full decision-making authority within approved plan Work closely with corporate Quality and Supply Chain Management to maintain relationships with local and regional vendors. Work with both internal and external partners to measure and define KPI's to monitor existing processes and drive improvements. Work closely with the company's supply chain and the Reusable Solutions Business Unit on the repositioning and management of our client's reusable fleet of parcel and pallet solutions within the region. Provide updates to management and staff regularly on performance to plan. Collaborate with the commercial team in the creation of marketing strategies, sales support tools, and customer communication. Incorporate company procedures and policies in operations of region and oversee the development of new ones as required. Attend internal and external Quarterly Business Reviews (QBR) as needed or requested Follow proper business practices and standards as dictated by 5S practices. Follow designated SOPs, Work Instructions and comply with all safety guidelines. Support the finance department regarding billing and accounts receivable issues. Develop a detailed knowledge of our programs, products and services. Achieve departmental objectives, develop and document procedures to streamline business operations to improve team efficiencies and productivities. Work on requirements provided by senior management whenever required. Applications are invited from candidates with: 8 Years' experience in operations management with a healthcare related field 10 Years' experience in thermal protective packaging for an in-region company Liaise with HR and Legal to ensure compliance with regional law as related to operations, warehousing and labour requirements. Knowledge and understanding of local contractual requirements, including transportation, and vendor management. Continued familiarisation, training and research in all countries included in the defined region. Ability to direct, analyse, support, execute and implement all our client's SOP's College/University Degree strongly preferred Excellent communication and negotiation skills Ability to manage several projects of varying complexity simultaneously and effectively. Excellent organisational skills, strong attention to detail, and outstanding follow up Excellent MS Office skills (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Experience with current ERP system and Customer Relationship Management applications Strong understanding of company Ethics, Integrity and Social Responsibility policies. Strong organisational, team and communication skills to work independently and take initiative to address issues. Available for region and global travel
