Overview
Assistant Management Accountant role in South Bristol. This is a permanent role paying £30,000 study support and is an excellent opportunity for someone at the early to mid stages of CIMA/ACCA to gain valuable management accounts experience. Client Details Our client is a market leader in its chosen field and has a solid growth plan over the next few years. As part of their finance transformation project, they have created a new role for an Assistant Management Accountant. This is a very exciting business to be a part of. Description The Assistant Management Accountant will be responsible for; Assisting with preparation of monthly management accounts including interrogation and understanding of variances to budget. Weekly sales reporting together with variance analysis and understanding performance. Assist with preparation of annual budgets and ongoing forecasts. Assist Management Accountant with the site cost base of division, to include internal checks back to invoice, variance analysis & providing feedback to finance/operations team as required. Assist the Management Accountant with preparation of Fixed Asset registers and other balance sheet account reconciliations Financial support to the Management Accountant, Financial Controller, Managing Director of the division and operations team. Payroll: Weekly/PTD/YTD reporting and challenge of spend to manage biggest variable cost within the division. Reconciliation of payroll spend from S4 Labour to month end accounts. Completion of adhoc requirements in relation to Payroll. Assist the Group Financial Accountant with tasks relating to group reporting where external reporting deadlines require. Ad Hoc analysis and reporting of financial performance for both finance and operational stakeholders to aid decision making. Systems Maintenance: Maintain & update financially impacting data in core systems, including Procure Wizard, S4L, Zonal & NAV. Other: Meeting attendance & support as required related to the division/finance. Assist with other tasks as required for the efficient and effective running of the finance team. Profile The successful candidate will have a proven track record in a similar role and will be studying towards a professional accountancy qualification (ideally CIMA/ACCA).
