Overview
Our client is a market leading SME, personal lines Insurance Broker based in Huntingdon (Peterborough) specialising in placing (Motor, Home, Commercial and Property Insurance) to name a few product classes. They are looking to appoint an IBA Assistant Manager; the ideal candidate profile will be a talented individual who pays good attention to detail, with previous experience in an IBA/Credit Control focused role, ideally within an Insurance environment. Reporting into the IBA Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for a Wholesale IBA team of five individuals whilst ensuring smooth running of day-to-day operations. Duties will include; Active credit control - ensuring funds ae collected promptly from underwriters/third parties and reconciled accordingly. Unallocated cash - ensuring cash is applied accurately, responding and solving queries that arise across various business divisions. Aged-Debt - contribute to the active reduction of aged-debt, assisting the IBA Manager in constructing monthly reports to be presented to the Director of Finance, to track overall business objective accomplishment. Involvement in process improvement, business change projects to ensure operations are working as efficiently/effectively as possible. The business environment is fast paced. Based in the heart of Huntingdon, there are parking facilities on site, as well as hail and ride services to and from Huntingdon Railway station. In addition to the basic salary, there is the opportunity to progress quickly within the role as the business expands further. Candidate Profile; Good understanding of IBA/Credit Control procedures within an Insurance environment. Previous experience of supervising a team would be beneficial. Good experience using MS applications namely Excel.
