Overview

A manufacturer of aerospace technology require a Commercial Contracts Manager. Applicants need commercial contracts management, or legal contracts experience, ideally within an aerospace or defence contracting business. The Commercial Contracts Manager will be responsible for; managing the commercial aspects of customer contracts, supporting new business activities, and providing contractual advice to the wider business. Working closely with the Senior Commercial Manager, the Commercial Contracts Manager will play an important role in the formulation of overall commercial contracts strategy. Specific duties of the Commercial Contracts Manager include: Support bids/proposal activities through ensuring legally compliant bids are submitted Creation of commercial T&Cs to mitigate contractual risk Negotiation of T&Cs across new and existing contracts Manage the commercial customer interface for new and existing business Provision of guidance and training to junior members of the commercial department Provide legal, compliance and contractual guidance to the business Commercial Contracts Manager applicants should ideally meet the following criteria: Commercial Contracts Management or Legal Contracts experience, ideally within an aerospace or defence business Knowledge of defence sector forms of contract DEFCON, FARs, DFARs with the UK MOD and US Government - preferred Experience in cost, price and contract negotiations Experience of mitigating contractual risk Excellent relationship builder - able to mentor junior colleagues, and work with senior customers and stakeholders Barclay Meade acts as an employment agency for permanent recruitment and employment business for the supply of temporary workers and is part of Gattaca Plc.
