Development Project Manager, Client Side - Dynamic Commercial Developer Northampton based Salary to £100,000 bonus & benefits package Company Overview Our client is an extremely well-respected commercial property developer who has experienced strong growth for several years. They are a dynamic, collaborative and ambitious organisation with a real entrepreneurial spirit, which enables them to deliver successful developments across the UK. To help fuel their growth we are now seeking to recruit an ambitious developer’s Project Manager to join their team in Northampton, to join the charge in developing their regional presence with both new and existing clients as well as coordinate the delivery of the development strategy, creating high-quality buildings and greener developments for their clients. The Career Opportunity Our client is looking to recruit a dynamic and professional Project Manager to work with the Development team to oversee and integrate the Project Management, Design and Commercial Management related to the construction of multiple developments across the South and Midlands regions. Reporting into the Construction Director you will be responsible for strategic programming with structured design & technical coordination to convert a development brief into a de-risked deliverable solution that can be delivered by their design and build contractor supply chain. The role is critical to the success of their development ambitions and is the glue between the development and construction process. To support the Development team in the preplanning phase in the strategic management of infrastructure requirements including phasing, optimising the same and preparing costed deliverable solutions to inform appraisals and planning strategy To support the development objectives & commercial requirements, manage and co-ordinate the specialist design, cost and preconstruction support services during the conversion phase of a project from its development inception (brief stage) to construction contract execution, to completion and hand over Responsible for managing project risks and opportunities which could impact cost/time/quality and deliverability of the project, contract negotiations and contract forms Responsible for coordination of required project resources including managing the process of consultant selection and appointment and managing the external design fee budget Responsible for delivering the sustainability strategy for the project to accord with company policy Working with a specialist supply chain to design and deliver energy strategies for each development Ensure compliance with the brief/authority/financiers/customer requirements The Candidate You will have a professional and positive approach with the ability to work as part of a team as well as being very self-motivated and pro-active in using your own initiative. The ability to build strong relationships and communicate at all levels with a range of stakeholders is essential, coupled with the support to colleagues and having a strong team ethic. A flexible attitude to work as well as being able to work under pressure and achieve targets, all while providing and managing high-quality client service is essential, whilst contributing to and upholding the reputation of the organisation. Having an entrepreneurial and ambitious spirit is vital, with a keen eye for detail seeing development opportunities through to completion. Experience of infrastructure delivery and commercial property development (logistics) from inception through to completion Expertise in planning processes and construction procurement (design and build) Experience in consultant appointment documents and related legal framework Detailed knowledge of regulatory requirements and legal framework relating to off-site infrastructure Detailed knowledge of commercial property development legal frameworks Exemplar knowledge and proven capability of mitigating construction risk.
