Overview
Creative Support is a non-profit organisation which provides high quality person centred social care services for people with learning disabilities, mental health and other needs. We are recruiting Senior Support Workers to work across our Swinton Supported Living service, which provides support to individuals who have learning disabilities . Your role will include: Providing respectful emotional and practical support with daily activities to service users Developing the independent living skills of service users Identifying and accessing opportunities for social inclusion with service users Supporting and supervising over two staff teams, as the seniors in these posts will be required to work over two supported living services Collaborating with service users, families and involved professionals to maximise outcomes for service users Assisting Unit Business Manager/ Registered Manager in meeting service requirements and standards Developing and implementing bespoke support plans, communication approaches and positive behaviour support Flexibility and ability to plan/cover shifts on a 24 hours rota, inclusive of sleep in shifts is essential. This role aims to support the ideal candidate to develop knowledge and competency within Health and Social Care Management and will provide a great opportunity to gain invaluable experience. The Unit Business Manager will provide direct support and supervision.
