Overview
Our client is the supplier of choice to the nuclear industry in specialist design, engineering and manufacturing. They are an innovative and fast-growing organisation, with highly skilled teams and a long standing heritage enabling them to deliver solutions to the most demanding operational and technical challenges faced by their customer base. Purpose: The Store Person is responsible for all goods receipt, despatch and warehousing. This includes materials cutting and issue to production. Key Duties and Responsibilities: Bar and plate stock handling and cutting Successful delivery of materials with manufacturing packages to manufacturing departments Management of waste streams Goods receipt to stock and non-stock projects Labelling and warehousing of goods received Maintaining materials store; ensuring bar stock is safely stored, easily identified and located Updating of purchasing software stock records Packaging and despatching of goods Assisting with stock takes Tracking goods, providing status reports and expediting orders/despatches Housekeeping of rear yard and goods in/out areas Driving forklift for deliveries, despatch, material handling, etc. Key Skills and Competencies: Experience in engineering and manufacturing environments, preferably with machining experience High degree of initiative, a problem solver and someone who can work effectively without supervision Competent with computer systems such as MS Office software, MRP and typical IT systems found in manufacturing companies Process-driven, attention to detail and a strong teamwork ethic Qualifications: Current forklift licence (or fit to obtain one) Current driving licence Millbank are an equal opportunities employer and welcome applications from all suitably qualified persons.
