A Permanent Buyer Job In Leicestershire - Construction Industry - Paying Up To £30,000 D.O.E Your new company A leading international infrastructure firm, who are engaged to deliver multiple high profile infrastructure projects on a global scale. Your new role The successful applicant will be responsible to the Purchasing Manager and ultimately to the Director of Purchasing and Logistics for all construction focused purchasing aspects for the overseas project and other projects as necessary. What you'll need to succeed Experience in the construction industry Analytical Skills: work with multiple vendors to determine the best deal for the company, and be able to evaluate the many pros and cons of each submission, based on price, quality, speed of delivery and other factors. Decision-Making Skills: be able to use the information gathered by yourself and the purchasing agents to make decisions on behalf of the company. Math Skills: Basic math skills, (preferably to GCSE Grade C standard or equivalent qualification) will be needed to analyse prices and get the best deals possible. Negotiating Skills: capable of working with suppliers to achieve the best deals/outcome.
