Founded in 1998 E-zec is the largest independent ambulance provider that operates solely and exclusively in the patient transport sector. E-zec currently employs more than 1400 staff and operates a fleet of 550 vehicles. E-Zec hold 14 NHS NEPTS contracts across the UK. Due to continued expansion, E-zec Medical Transport Services is now looking to recruit a Part time Controller to be based in the Bristol area. About the Role: As a Controller (planner/dispatcher) you will be providing a vital service as a liaison between our ambulance control centre, our operational staff, patients and Health Care Professionals. This is an exciting opportunity to join a knowledgeable team and we are looking for a motivated, logical thinking, caring, innovative and enthusiastic person to join us. A good geographical knowledge of the Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire areas is essential. Previous experience of working within a Patient Transport Service control room or similar environment is preferable. We are looking for someone to work between 15:00 – 19:00 Monday to Friday. Your duties will include: · Planning and controlling of daily ambulance journeys transporting medically eligible patients to and from NHS healthcare facilities. · Controlling a complex operation consisting of over 45 ambulances delivering 300 patient journeys per day. PERSON SPECIFICATION · Experience of working in similar transport control environment, using logistical and planning skills · Be familiar with computerized route planning software · Good telephone manner · Be customer service focused and able to effectively handle sensitive situations · Have a good geographic knowledge of the county · Be able to stay calm under pressure · Ability to take initiative · Working effectively as a part of the team In return we are offering: · You will receive full training to fulfil the role and uniform · £9.80 per hour including a 30 minute paid break ·112 hours of annual leave (including bank holidays) · Auto enrolment into the NEST Pension scheme · Eligibility for a Blue Light Card To apply please upload your CV and if you have any additional questions, we are more than happy to answer them.
