THE ROLE: As a Data Science Engineer you will be working with the latest technologies to help build data science and analytical environments which will be used across the entire company. After implementing these technologies you will work to ensure best practices are followed across various divisions and be responsible for researching new trends to ensure continuous innovation. In specific, you can expect to be involved in the following: Building, implementing, maintaining, and optimising the latest large-scale technology solutions across the business. Influencing colleagues of with various levels of experience to ensure best practice and continuous innovation after solutions are implemented. Programming in at least one of the following languages - Java, Scala or Python. Work with Big Data tools such as Snowflake, Hive, Spark or Google Big Queery. Implement cloud technologies like AWS, Azure and GCP. Work as part of an Agile squad to deliver solutions in a flexible manner. YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE: The successful Data Science Engineer will have the following skills and experience: Proven experience in designing and implementing technology solutions with a combination of the technologies listed above. Have a deep understanding of the processes, skills and technologies which are needed to deliver data science and analytics methods across an organisation. Be a strong communicator with the ability to listen and learn from those around you. Experience coding in Python, Java or Scala in a cloud environment.
