Field Engineer Manchester Up to £45k Dependent Upon Experience We are an exciting tech business based in Manchester who are focused on bringing innovation to the industries we work in through delivering cutting edge software solutions. With a growing support arm of our business – we have the immediate need to recruit an experienced and motivated IT Field Engineer to deliver projects in Manchester and UK wide. You will be responsible for: Supporting the technical design, implementation and operations of public and private cloud environments Advising and shaping technical best practices Working in conjunction with architects, product owners, systems engineers and other business stakeholders to deliver assigned project tasks Implementing designs to ensure security, scalability and robustness of all created services Advising on scope, interfaces and estimate project development effort You will also be expected to respond to reactive issues and complete the successful installation of both software and hardware to meet client requirements. Technical Skills required Windows Server Technologies (2008/2012/2016); Exchange (2010/2013/2016; VMware / Hyper-V; Office 365 Azure/AWS PAAS/IAAS Mimecast Powershell PC / Server Hardware; Active Directory; Firewalls (ideally Fortinet) and Routers; Backup Technologies (Datto, Azure Site recovery, Veeam etc.); Networking, including DNA, DHCP; NAS and Storage Technologies. VoIP Telephony (desirable) Mac Support Experience (desirable) Citrix XenDesktop (desirable) Citrix NetScaler (desirable) Key Experience 3 years experience as an Engineer providing IT support to SME’s 2 years hands on experience with Azure IaaS (PaaS is desirable but not mandatory) Familiar with working to SLA’s to meet both customer and contract requirements Troubleshooting experience to an expert level (Level 3 support) Experience of supporting multi-site clients Qualified to at least one of the following - MCSA: Windows Server 2012/2016 or MCSA: Office365 or MCSA: Cloud Platform, VMware Certified Professional 6.5 - Data Center Virtualization (VCP6.5-DCV).
