Overview
Lead Developer / Architect opportunity in central Oxford We are working with a truly global market leader who are looking to grow a key area of their technology division with an ambitious and talented senior developer who is looking for the next step in their career. You will be known internally as an application architect and ultimately will provide hands on development coupled with guiding / mentoring development teams both onshore and offshore with code reviews and having control over quality and engineering standards. We are looking for candidates with extensive hands on coding experience across the core JavaScript stack (React / Angular) for front end and ideally Node.JS for back end. Previous experience with REST and building performance applications would be highly desirable and preference will be given to candidates who can demonstrate this. Also a key skill for this role is around cloud technologies, strong preference for solid AWS experience but consideration will be given to candidates with Azure knowledge. There is a strong basis of Agile culture across the organisation so previous experience of delivering development within a structured agile environment would be highly beneficial. The type of person we are looking for will have the following skills / experience / characters Good stakeholder management with clear communication skills A high degree of integrity. A track record of success, keeping to commitments and credibility. An ability to work across multiple initiatives. A solutions-focused mind-set. A deep understanding of technology and how it can be both developed and used to meet business requirements. A broad knowledge of technologies such as Java, React, Node.JS, AWS etc. Experience in delivering solutions across various functions. Experience in customer facing product delivery. Good understanding of User Experience principles.
